Why We Built This Site
Kansas provides public access to many court dockets and files, but access depends on choosing the correct custodian. The Lane County District Court Clerk keeps the district-court events index and case documents. Kansas CaseSearch supplies the statewide public district-court search, while Rule 22 preserves a separate courthouse-terminal level. Dighton City Court keeps city ordinance and municipal traffic matters outside that online district search unless a later appeal creates a district case. This site brings those contacts, formats, access limits, and request routes together.
What You Will Find Here
- Case lookups: steps for searching Kansas CaseSearch by name or case number
- Docket guides: ways to read Lane County criminal dockets and civil dockets
- Record requests: routes for obtaining court records and asking the clerk about certification
- Dates and settings: methods for checking court dates and confirming a scheduled appearance
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, with no affiliation to a Kansas court, clerk, or government agency. Its role has firm limits:
- It cannot issue an official docket, order, case file, or certified copy
- It cannot reset, cancel, or confirm a hearing date
- It cannot seal, remove, or change a court entry
- It cannot interpret a case or provide legal advice
- It cannot promise that a listed fee, contact, or setting remains current
An official or certified Lane County record must come from the clerk or court that maintains it; this site can identify that office but cannot supply the document.
Search Partners
Outside companies operate search boxes shown on some pages and control their own results, prices, and service terms. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports operation of this site. The provider, not Lane County Court Docket, determines what its search returns and what it charges.
